Helping You Evaluate All of Your Options

At Law Offices of Kelly G Lambert III, PC we provide bankruptcy clients with all of the information they need to make some sound legal decisions. If you are facing foreclosure, there are a number of possible solutions to consider.

First, it may be possible to keep your home in either Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 bankruptcy. To do this in a Chapter 7, you must be current on your payments or be able to get caught up immediately or enter into a restructured mortgage. We are experienced at restructuring your mortgage and entering into reaffirmation agreements to help you retain your home.

There are non-bankruptcy options to consider as well. For instance, if you want to keep your home but have been having trouble making your monthly payments we may be able to negotiate a home loan modification from your lender. On the other hand it may make sense to walk away.  A deed in lieu of foreclosure or short sale without recourse may provide the debt relief you need.  You have options. Some may allow you to keep your home and others will allow you to walk away and keep a foreclosure off your credit history at the same time.
